Just checking in....

from my parents' house. We are here for the 2 week appointment tomorrow at just under 3 weeks (okayed by the doctor).

The move went well. I hate moving, but all in all, things went well.

Baby is doing well. She's getting big. I can't wait to see how big she is. She's barely yellow anymore, just taking on that pale color of her mama.

My 2 year old is doing exactly what every 2 year old with a new baby sister who just moved is doing, so she's acting normal. Driving me crazy, but acting normal.

Going to be gone for a little while....

We're moving this weekend, and I will be without internet (for the most part at least) until our tax return comes in which hopefully won't take too long. I'm still going to try to check my email somehow, but I'll probably be in and out. Hope everyone is doing well and had a happy holiday! :)

She's here!

I was induced Tuesday morning. They put the IV in at about 7:30, broke my water at 8:30, had an epidural at 9:30 (before any real pain hit -- I'm a wimp). I took a nap for a while, and the nurse came in and wanted me to lay on my right side. She didn't want to drop, but the nurse said that when she did drop, I would probably dilate in a hurry. So, she had me lie in a position with my right leg straight and my left leg bent because it's supposed to help the baby drop. It did. Within 30 minutes, I had gone from a 5 to an 8. She told me to roll over on my left side and do the same thing and call her when I started feeling pressure. Ten minutes later, I hit the button and told her that I was feeling pressure and like I needed to push. This was at 12:30. My OB was in the cafeteria downstairs eating. Hubby said he thought she'd be here by 1:00. She didn't want me to push until my OB showed up because baby was right there. Two pushes and she was here. 12:52 pm. 7lbs, 8 oz, 19 1/2 inches long. Looks so much like my 2 year old it's uncanny.

Here bilirubin levels started going up pretty fast. Therefore, they put her under the bilirubin lights to help control the jaundice. I was afraid that she wouldn't get to come home with me, but we all got to come home Thursday with phototherapy. She only had to be under the lights until Saturday and is doing great now. Thank you all for the well wishes! Sorry it took me so long to post an update.
